THE THING AROUND YOUR NECK
Okay I just had to give my own review of one of my favorite book this month. After reading'' Purple Hibiscus'' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; I was rushing to the bookstore to get another of her books. ''The thing around your neck'' is an absorbing and beautiful collection of short stories. All the stories in here are very interesting and gripping and you want to read more and more.
She presents a beautiful collection of tales, with African women, especially Igbo women, at the centre of the tales.
Her style is free-flowing, the suspense is great linked to someone who has mastered the art of storytelling. Her diction is simple and this serves to engage the reader fully, and one gets to appreciate the plainness, simplicity, strength, and beauty of her prose.

I really did enjoy reading this book; I love her storytelling and I am slowly falling in love with Chimamanda's writing and can't wait to get more of her books.
