THANK YOU

I was watching TV the other night and happened to catch this sad story of young girls in a certain community in the country that have to miss school when on their menses since they could not get sanitary towels. The young ladies looked scared and were afraid of being teased. It pained me to see how humiliated this girls felt when approaching this time of the month. This is one thing that is considered special to a lady but to them it's like a monster that creeps out of the cave at a certain week of every month. They have to discontinue their normal activities until this is over.

Why I'm I  telling you this story? It saddens me so much and it got me thinking of how every one complains that they have so many problems and how little we appreciate what we already have. That story made me realize that most of us have a lot to thank God for but we do not do it.

I remembered how I complained about how I don't have shoes to match with  a new dress I had just bought, yet this young girl in that community does not mind walking bare feet to school, all she cares about is the knowledge she will acquire and she is hoping education will finally get her out of the deep poverty she is in. This young girls lack sanitary towels a basic necessity and we are here complaining about how the food in 'you know which' hotel is not so good, how the price of milk has gone up, how we have use millions to fight poachers; c'mon y'all for crying out loud this girls are the future and they lack sanitary towels.

We need to appreciate what we have, I'm not saying anything that you all don’t know but it's important to remind ourselves to thank God for what we have, what we will get and how far we are. Think of it this way; you have a roof over your head, a place to sleep, food on your table, shoes on your feet, love ,family and sanitary towels. Why not be grateful for all that. APPRECIATE.

Lord For Everything.
